Use 1 heaping tablespoons (5 grams.) or toasted oak chips for each gallon of Red Wine or for each 2 gallons of White wine. Prepare chips by boiling in water for 15 minutes. Then strain off water and add chips to wine. Allow wine to age with the oak chips for 1 to 9 months. Monitor the wine's flavor through the aging process to determine when to remove the oak chips.
